Carcinophobia Treated With Hypnotism

The fear of cancer is one of the most common phobias, and it’s easy to imagine why. Nobody wants to have cancer or see someone else suffering from it. Even though it is normal to want to avoid getting ill, people with carcinophobia experience an extremely high amount of fear that often takes over their lives. Beating the fear of cancer used to take a long time, but with better knowledge of the condition and treatment techniques, this is no longer the case. Proven hypnotherapy techniques can help people regain their happiness and well-being.

It is not difficult to imagine what might lead to carcinophobia. This phobia is associated with a fear of death, illness, and loss of control. In many cases, people feel disturbed by a family member’s battle with the disease. People who have lost a loved one to cancer, or are at risk of developing the disease, live in fear of the moment when they are diagnosed with the disease.

The overwhelming anxiety brought on by cancer phobia may lead people to make illogical decisions. Some sufferers constantly visit hospitals to confirm they aren’t ill, while others avoid the doctor completely, in fear of discovering that they have a disease. Cancer phobia sufferers will feel depressed if they feel the slightest signs of illness, such as a migraine, and wonder if it is cancer. They might go to great lengths to avoid getting sick.

People suffering from a fear of cancer often feel like they have a lot to be afraid of. Carcinophobia a persistent fear that can strike both men and women. An individual might think, “Who will take care of my family if I get sick?” or agonize over other critical issues. The phobia can be unbearably sad for sufferers and their families.

Many people can cope with their phobias by avoiding the source of their anxiety. People with arachnophobia can often get along by keeping away from spiders, and people with claustrophobia are careful to avoid small, enclosed areas such as crowded rooms. Cancer phobia, however, is different. Carcinophobia is largely triggered by a person’s deepest thoughts and fears. It can be debilitating for someone to suffer from a fear they simply can’t escape. This keeps many people with carcinophobia in a chronic state of anxiety.

There are a number of phobia treatments in use. Frequently used ones involve talk therapy and anti-anxiety medication. Traditional counseling can generate lasting results, but it may take a long time, up to several years for some patients. Medication works to relieve a person’s anxiety, but it neglects to fix the root causes of a deep-rooted fear. Hypnotherapy is a choice that delivers permanent results in a smaller period of time than other treatments. It is now a popular choice because it’s an effective, safe, and non-invasive treatment.

Hypnosis combines stress-relief practices with fear relief to rapidly cure a phobia. A good program will begin with relaxation therapy to help alleviate the emotional distress caused by fear. When a person feels stress-free and relaxed, hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques work to direct the unconscious mind into following a phobia-free line of thought.

Conventional hypnosis utilizes direct, post-hypnotic commands to cure a fear. This method is highly successful when a person is open to it. The problem is, these traditional techniques may not work because many people have a tendency what they are told and will resist direct suggestions.

A severe phobia such as the fear of cancer requires a more advanced type of treatment such as Ericksonian hypnosis. This type of hypnosis works well for those who are logical, and who are suffering from chronic fear and anxiety. It utilizes indirect suggestions embedded in conversations, stories, and metaphors to help them overcome their fears.

The innovative NLP technology does not depend on suggestion at all, so it can be effective for everybody. In simple terms, NLP offers tools to train the unconscious mind to use the same exact thought patterns that are creating a symptom or problem, to eliminate it.

Because hypnosis and NLP operate at the unconscious level, clients report feeling much more empowered and secure using these therapies.

With Conventional Hypnosis, programs typically need to be specific to each phobia. One advantage of a well designed Ericksonian hypnotherapy and NLP program is that both are designed to be used on any phobia, or even multiple phobias. This is a great help to some carcinophobia sufferers who also struggle with other anxiety disorders, such as general germophobia or hypochondria.

The fear of cancer is a serious fear, but one that can be tackled by appropriate hypnosis techniques. NLP techniques have become a popular fear treatment because of their ability to address the root of all anxiety disorders and not just the symptoms. Revolutionary Ericksonian hypnotherapy and NLP techniques can help even the most serious phobia patients defeat their fears permanently.
