Stay Young With Facial And Neck Exercises
Face neck exercises are somewhat of a new concept to many people. Even if they are aware of the benefits of exercise for the rest of the body, many ignore or don’t realize the beneficial results for keeping the muscles in the face and neck toned and flexible. Sagging skin, wrinkles, bags under the eyes? All of these may be improved or prevented with some simple, regular workouts for that forgotten area above the shoulders!
Moisturizers and creams are okay for fighting wrinkles, but you are only fighting a part of the problem this way. To keep you face and neck area young looking and without sagging, you should work on the muscle tone. There are several parts to work on: Cheeks, lips, neck, forehead, eyes, etc. If you want to look younger than what your wrinkles tell, exercising your facial muscles will prevent you from getting a double chin and sagging neck (or make them look better if you already have them) and also make you look lighter (people tend to mistake a double chin as an excess weight sign, when often it is just a poor muscle tone problem).
To keep your neck and throat looking better, try some of the following moves. One of the easiest is to simply sit upright, lean your head back and look at the ceiling, then pretend to chew while keeping your lips together. Repeat the movement about 20 times daily and you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll begin to see results.
Another of the effective and beneficial face neck exercises is to lie on your back on your bed. With your head resting over the edge, slowly bring your head up toward your body and hold it for 10 seconds. Then, relax and put your head back down over the edge. Again, if you’ll repeat 5 times or more per day, you’ll soon see more tone and definition in a sagging or double chin.
To avoid getting lines around your lips, the first thing you have to do is quit smoking if you do. Another way to prevent getting these wrinkles is not exposing yourself to the sun and always using sunblock. If you stop smoking and do these facial and neck exercises, this will improve both your looks and your health at the same time.
So, for the lips, one of the easiest exercise is to sit upright with your head looking straight ahead. With your lips and teeth together, make a big smile and hold for 5 seconds. Then, as your relax, pucker up to a pointed kiss and hold that for 5 seconds. Repeat at least 10 times daily.
With a quick online search, you may also find a facial exerciser that’s been developed specifically for helping you tone and exercise your face and neck. These are typically inexpensive (less than $30) and may help keep your more disciplined as there’s an ‘apparatus’ to use. Some popular searches will yield products to fight sagging skin, jowl lines (creases below the cheeks, from the nose to the sides of the mouth), and the ever-dreaded double chin.
When doing your daily workouts, don’t forget or neglect your face and neck area! These exercises can be done pretty much everywhere from your office desk to your car, they are easy to stick to and you will start seeing results in only a few weeks. Take a few minutes to find more movements and exercises online, they will help your look and feel better for little to no cost, and the results you’ll get are totally worth the few minutes a day it will take you to do them.
